We do. And we're sort of living enough to tell the tale.
We got married this past weekend in our backyard. If you were there, I apologize for the ugly crying and constant proclamations of "this is the best day of my liiiiiiiiife." I will blame the Jack Daniels and the delicious champagne that was consumed during hair and make up time.
So yes, I finally have the same last name as Denny and our daughter. I feel like I am officially official now. I keep glancing down at my left hand, at my sparkly little wedding band, and can't help but feel like a giddy little girl.
And yes, now we can turn our focus to the new house. Because I don't foresee myself baking 150 cupcakes, DIYing every single piece of wedding decor, and all that jazz for a very long time.
Such a long time that poor Peyton is getting the birthday shaft this year. Her spectacular Minnie Mouse birthday party isn't going to happen quite as planned, and I am taking the blame because I am totally crafted out for now and have completely run out of steam. So a small friends and family party in our backyard it is for the little peanut person.
(Sorry, Peyton. I hope this is one of those birthdays you won't remember so you won't tell your therapist about it one day.)
I'm very much looking forward to serving up quite a few house projects, as well as turning my focus back to the shop (because my craft room still isn't unpacked, sheeeeesh).

We're in.
Whew.
I have been severely neglectful of this poor blog-bloggy-blog. And I am profusely sorry for that, blog (I am addressing the blog because I don't know if anyone actually reads this...and if you're reading this too--I am sorry!).
But we have been living in our new house for two whole weeks and I couldn't be more tickled pink about it. Literally pink...I can't wait to share pictures of Peyton's new room.
The beautiful thing about this house is that it has everything we need and offers a wonderfully blank slate to work with. I'm talking minimal paint issues we had beef with (one room with a questionable paint choice and VERTICAL BLINDS, and it's already done), and simple, basic features we can bulk up and really customize on our own to truly reflect ourselves as a family in our new home.
I've got a list of things I can't wait to share with you:

I've got a list of things I can't wait to share with you:
- We still don't have a couch and probably won't for a while.
- The angry yellow room that woke you up in a bad way the second you came downstairs in the morning.
- Our lot and the plans we have for it.
- The kitchen and the plans I have for it and can't wait to tackle on a budget.
- My plans for Peyton's room down the road and how she's been adjusting to the new house.
- Fancying up the master bedroom, because we've always had a really basic bedroom situation (think college dorm room...and we're 27 and 33. Embarrassing).
- A slew of DIY home decor ideas I've had swirling around in this overloaded brain of mine.
- What we've done so far (I failed to take "before" photos before we moved any of our stuff in, and the only photos I have of pre-us living there are photos containing the previous owner's stuff. Because I feel like that would be infringing on their privacy a little bit, I won't be sharing those photos. Luckily, we haven't done anything MAJOR that would really take away from the overall effect of any potential transformations down the line). How's that for a wordy little parentheses aside?
- What we plan to do (maybe some more MS Paint illustrations to accompany plans? Maybe I'll actually get the hang of Photoshop? We'll see!)
- Planning a yard sale to purge a whoooooole lot of unnecessary stuff.
- More plans for the shop. Where my studio is located now and where it'll go if we have a second baby.
- And most importantly...the fact that we moved into the house the weekend of April 25th and planned our wedding there on June 1st. What the what?! Are we insane? I think we are.
Stay tuned, friends! Life is about to get exponentially more exciting around here.

Question of the day
Why do I find it increasingly difficult to find some table lamps I actually like?

Still here!
Whew.
So much going on in such a short period of time, it's unbelievable!
We nursed Peyton back to health, although she wasn't 100% on Easter Sunday. She's finally back to normal, though.
Denny and I spent the better part of last weekend in Home Depot (Spring Black Friday Sale? Stop, I die.). Also spent a lot of time outside sanding, priming, and otherwise working on all these fandangled pieces of furniture I scored. Sanding and priming. Sanding and priming. After we pack up some of Peyton's room tonight I have every good intention of posting our progress with a step by step tutorial on how it goes. I'm not really sure I can call it a tutorial, though, since I am making no guarantees it'll turn out correctly. One can hope, though, and I have tons of photos to share so it's going to happen.
I also scored a gigantic wooden buffet for our dining room this past weekend from Craigslist for $40. Looks like another project is in the works after the end tables and the coffee table.
This table caught my eye on Target's website a couple of weeks ago:
I procrastinated ordering it and now it's out of stock. I called Target and pleaded with them that they tell me when it'll be back in stock and they couldn't give me a date. So I'm stuck checking the website every day. They have one in an espresso/tabacco finish, but it's NOT THE SAME.
Can you believe we're moving in 16 days?! Me neither.

This doesn't bode well
A holiday is coming and naturally Peyton gets sick. How do they know?!
It started with general crankiness this week. I figured: teething. Child has had her fist shoved as far into her mouth as she can get it for WEEKS. Drooling. Won't let me inspect the situation and tries to gnaw my finger off when I try to feel around in her mouth. Serious molar action, I thought.
Then there was the falling asleep well before bedtime. I'm talking asleep on my shoulder at 5:30 PM and so help me do not wake her.
Then there was this morning. Oh, this morning. It was one of those mornings when you have a little person clinging to you for dear life and there is no way she is letting go and everything you do is the WORST possible thing to ever happen to her.
Here, Peyton, let's put on your shirt.
Oh no, why are you screaming?
Hey, Peyton, want to snuggle?
Oh, I picked you up too quickly. Why are you screaming?!
Sick toddlers. Sheesh.
I do feel bad, because she's just so sad when she doesn't feel well.
I brought her to my sister's house for dinner and some egg dyeing (Dying? I feel like it's so sad for the eggs if it's spelled that way). Peyton was not too thrilled about the festivities:
Eventually, I got her in the spirit of things.
So my mom, my sister and I dyed eggs and Peyton watched.
I'm taking the day off from the 9-5 tomorrow to nurse our poor baby back to health because we have a hot date with an Easter Bunny on Saturday.
If you haven't been following on the Facebook page, I posted the final necklace of my line-up so far. I'm excited to use some different fabrics to make more. But here's a sneak peek of what's next:
Check out the shop to see some more goodies and check back throughout the weekend for some more new additions!

Sleeping on Nana. How can someone look so sad even when they're sleeping?!
Ugh, bunnies.
Just kidding.
Megan's first blog appearance.
Serious egg dyeing.
Eggstagram.
